I was taking Cold Eeze for a cold, and noticed that during that time I had no flare ups of my IBS. Since Cold Eeze is a large dose of Zinc, I made the connection and started taking a Zinc/Calcium/Magnesium supplement a week ago and have had no flare ups since. This has been an amazing development for me.

That is one way of putting it. Though constipation can cause many unwanted side effects like bloating and nausea.

My system likes to alternate on me too, though as of late I've been leaning more towards being constipated. I'd really only recommend it if a person really did have chronic D.
